Before And After Testimonials
When I first came to Dr. Akhrass, I had a terrible fear of going to the dentist. Over time, I became more comfortable and even started to enjoy coming to the dentist. Dr. Akhrass makes it easy to feel comfortable; he answers questions thoroughly, and he is very knowledgeable. He and his staff have always done their best to work around my schedule, fitting me in at times that were convenient to me.
Recently I had a tooth implant. The implant went smoothly. I decided shortly thereafter to get Invisalign. This was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Before Invisalign, I had a crooked smile that I rarely shared with the world. I would purposefully only
take pictures from one side to hide a high tooth that never came down, and that is if I smiled with my teeth, which was rare. Usually in pictures
I would smile only with my mouth. Now that I have completed by Invisalign, I smile all the time. My family and students constantly comment on how happy I look and how often I smile. I love my teeth. I love my smile.
I love that Dr. Akhrass helped me achieve my smile potential, and I love all the dental assistants and staff who were friendly along the way. Invisalign was strangely one of the best experiences of my life!
Case Study Notes:
The patient’s full mouth restoration began with extracting a decayed tooth and performing a bone grafting procedure while under sedation. The bone graft was then allowed to heal for 3 months. Invisalign clear aligners were used to straighten all of the patient’s teeth, to correct her cross-bite on the right side, and to bring down her left upper canine into the correct bite plane position.
During the Invisalign treatment, an implant was placed into the bone grafted area, again while under sedation. Once the implant site had healed and the Invisalign completed, a custom abutment and custom crown were fabricated and placed. Fixed upper and lower orthodontic retainers were placed and removable retainers were made to wear at night while sleeping to prevent tooth movement relapse.
